Drop Tower Planning Begins. Chessington World of Adventures‘ latest plans are out. Planning documents for a new ride at Chessington are appearing online. Available via the Council’s planning portal. Exciting new plans for the park are now fully available to see, and we’ve got the latest scoop.
Described as being a direct replacement for the park’s ageing and tired Top Spin ride, Rameses Revenge. The new attraction proposed is a drop tower. The park has codenamed the ride Project Plummet and expects SBF Visa to manufacture it. The ride will rise to just under 100ft, carrying riders to the top of the tower. Before dropping them back down to the ground with a series of bounces and twists.
Designs and plans for the new attraction also detail a few other changes happening in the Forbidden Kingdom. With plans depicting updated facades around the area. As well as a large themed crocodile mouth section, which will wrap directly around the base of the new tower ride.
Thought to be themed around the Egyptian deity, Sobek. Plans also include the relocation of Flying Jumbos. The Jumbos will take flight once more. Making room in the Forbidden Kingdom for a new ride to rise. They are due to arrive at Adventure Point in their new home, formally occupied by the Chessington Carousel.
