Adventure Tree Carousel Opens

1st April 2017

The Chessington Adventure Tree Carousel has officially opened to guests at Chessington World of Adventures, bringing a fresh centrepiece to Adventure Point.

The new attraction arrives for the 2017 season and marks the latest addition to the park’s family ride line-up. Notably, the carousel opened two weeks after the park welcomed guests for the season. Moreover, its debut follows closely behind the launch of The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, continuing a strong start to the year for new experiences.

At the heart of the ride stands a large, highly themed tree structure that immediately catches the eye in Adventure Point. From the very top, a water feature trickles down the centrepiece, adding movement and atmosphere to the area. As a result, the carousel now acts as a lively focal point for the land.

Instead of traditional carousel horses, the ride features a range of animal-themed steeds. Riders can choose from a variety of creatures as the carousel gently spins around the towering tree.

Meanwhile, the attraction also replaces the park’s ageing carousel, which operated for many years before closing at the end of the 2016 season. The new ride was developed under the codename Project Merry and built by Bertazzon, a manufacturer well known for creating classic carousel attractions.

Consequently, Adventure Point now benefits from a modern carousel that blends traditional charm with fresh theming. With its vibrant design and prominent location, the Adventure Tree Carousel is already drawing attention from families visiting the park.
