It’s Far Scarier ‘After Dark’
22nd October 2019
It’s Far Scarier ‘After Dark’. New this year at Chessington World of Adventures‘ annual Howl’O’ween event is something very dark and sinister. To the point that, for most guests, it is something that has slipped under the radar. Similar to something you’d find at nearby Thorpe Park, Creepy Caves: After Dark is a new experience available to guests over 13.
After Dark: Reviewed
It’s well known that Creepy Caves Unearthed is undoubtedly the most intense and frightening scare attraction to ever operate at Chessington.
Until the 2018 Halloween season, this frightful attraction required an additional charge for guests seeking a more intense experience at Howl’O’ween. This year, however, the park changed its approach. The standard Creepy Caves Unearthed received a slight, though noticeable, reduction in intensity. Meanwhile, the park introduced a new upcharged VIP experience called Creepy Caves After Dark, which offered an even more extreme version of the attraction.
We were fortunate (or unfortunate, depending on your viewpoint) to experience the new Creepy Caves After Dark VIP experience twice this year.
We have to say that this attraction stands as the most intense scare experience we have ever faced. Moreover, the thrill level rises the moment you sign up. The team immediately tells you that they will touch, manhandle, and push you. They also warn that you will be shoved, pulled, shouted at, and plunged into dark spaces. However, they never mention that you might be carried. Yet that is exactly what happened to us.
We were blown away by the new After Dark experience in many impressive ways. Consequently, we sincerely hope it returns for many years to come. Moreover, we would recommend it to anyone seeking the ultimate scare. For a small £10 per-person upcharge, we consider it money extremely well spent. Additionally, the park runs the experience after closing to keep other guests clear. As a result, the entire attraction felt genuinely and intensely scary.
Just remember. It’s Far Scarier ‘After Dark’.
